I think that is not the case as I think that Peter is already in "his" universe, he was just merely removed from it and therefore so were his actions and interactions and memories of him.

Yeah, that was my understanding as well. I was doubting he was in a "3rd" universe. Everything in this universe is the same, except no one remembered peter.

It makes sense that peter thinks he is in a 3rd universe, because he didn't know the observers had planned to "delete him" and as far as he knows the machine just transported him to another one.

That's what I thought as well. I wasn't sure how he came to the conclusion that he was in a third, entirely different universe.

From his POV, it makes sense. He already knows of at least 2 universes, and when he comes back, no one knows him in either universe. Therefore, he isn't in A or B, he must be in C.

Wasn't it a long time ago (when the 2nd universe was first introduced) that one of the writers said there were only two universes?

What they said was something along the lines of 'we're only going to deal with two universes'. Doesn't mean that the characters on the show can't think of there being more than 2.

There are differences between his old timeline and the new one. For instance the very things that were different due to Peter being gone, could be the differences between universes.

I'm curious to know why things are so different since it is his universe, like Olivia's step dad being dead, the other side's Broyle's being alive, Olivia having completely different memories, to name a few.

My theory is the two universes merged together.

because Peter died as a Boy on both sides and so Peter was erased from then on and because of that any interactions he had with Olive or anyone else as a child or up till now was different he did not have influences on them in any way shape or form so things happen slightly different or in some cases extreamly different

to the above poster no the 2 universes did not merge there is still a bridge We have been in the Right universe the entire time since episode 1 of this season

I'm well aware of time more or less starting over without Peter existing, but things prior to Peter and Olivia meeting as adults, like Olivia's step dad being dead when originally he wasn't, should have, in theory, remained the same. So now Olivia is having memories of a different life she lived, which, for all intents and purposes, no longer exists. If she thinks about her step father, she'll think he's still alive, sending her cards on her birthday when he's really dead. I'm hoping they somehow work out discrepancies like this. It's not so much a continuity error given the nature of the show, I just hope these kind of logical questions aren't discarded. From what I can tell, though, they haven't simply shrugged it off and instead have put an effort into addressing them.

Don't forget, Peter and Olivia first met as children :)

    • I hear you on browser password manager, in my case I have two Google profiles, one was created when Google decided to grandfather us out of Workspace for Domains (with the replacement being too expensive for 25 users) resulting in my domain email address no longer being able to be registered to a new Workspace I created (for myself and another co-owner) so I could use Takeout and sync over some stuff to the new Workspace. Then I have my personal Google profile which I could be logged into on my desktop or Mobile, so I am saving passwords on one or the other, and when an URL changes another password for the same service gets added, it basically ends up being a giant mess. Unless I missed something is there a local decent password manager that can override the browser password managers for Chrome, Edge, Firefox (profiles) so that there is only one vault, and does that also support Passkeys (which to me are still confusing because sometimes it will ask for a Passkey on a phone I am no longer using!) Microsofts implementation of Passkeys is the worst!
    • It's utterly baffling that we have no idea when we'll get new features even well after they've been released. Why Microsoft thinks this is a good rollout strategy is beyond me.
    • If it makes anybody happy, others will need to be bitter about it. (apologies to Yogi Berra)
    • I owned a lot of Soundblaster cards over the years all the way back to the ISA slot era. I use a Soundblaster X3 external now because I'm able to run it through a KVM and have it follow the machine I happen to be using. It drives a set of JBL 305 powered monitors wonderfully. I'm not gaming or doing home theater through it, so rear channels aren't a consideration for me, though it does have side / rear / sub outputs.
