As it states this a poll for which game you'll be or intending on purchasing, between just these two. To make it simple on thread viewers feel free to state your:

- choice in game

- If single player or multiplayer is the deciding factor

- platform you'll be most likely to purchase for

- other deciding factors such as "community" "graphics" etc

Both, more than likely. I like the look of both Singleplayer campaigns, and I enjoy playing the MP of the CoD series. I'm a bit hesitant about Battlefield's MP, but I'll certainly give it a go.

Both for the PS3.

Battlefield MP is probably one of the best online games you can play!

Perhaps, but I've not played a Battlefield game in years, and Dice's handling of the multiplayer aspect of Medal of Honor has left me wary.

I hadn't played a battlefield games either myself until 2 days ago; BF:Bad Company 2, single player with only an hour or two of MP, highly recommend it even if you just rent it. For now I'm still playing CoD:Black Ops multiplayer 5th or 6th prestige, so it's not like I'm bias. =)

Lack of desire or platform? Just curious.

Platform, my Xbox has been broken for more than a year, and I haven't felt the need to replace it since I didn't use it all that much.

My PC won't be able to run it since it barely ran Black Ops, and there will be numerous engine enhancements from the MW2 engine.

I personally hate how BF fans are slating MW3 and praising BF3 even though they've played neither and neither is anywhere near finished :/

Anyways, going to purchase both for Xbox 360.

Going off previous experience, it has nothing to do with being a fanboy. With BF3 theyve made huge updates to the engine, IW keep using the same old crap over and over and over again to tell the same story in different settings.

Both, but Battlefield 3 over Modern Warfare 3. I prefer the gameplay of Battlefield and I'm eager to get some time with Frostbite 2.0. The Modern Warfare 3 trailer did not appeal to me all that much, to be honest. Sure, it'll be a decent game but Frostbite 2.0 is going to be a real game-changer. Modern Warfare 3 looks like more of the same - which might not be a bad thing assuming that it has decent online.

If I had to choose between them I would pick BF3 over MW3 about a gazillion times but I don't have to choose between them so I will eventually get both but I doubt MW3 will get 5% of my overall gaming time for this fall. To put it in perspective I have easily spent over 3000 - 3500 hours clocked in on BF2 with many different accounts. I suspect BF3 will be no different (Y)

    • Web search has been one of those crap ware that I try to get rid of asap. It's annoying and slow. It was a cheap way for Microsoft to drive traffic to Bing.
    • All I can say is that think the USB G8 is better in many ways, and costs the same or slightly less. I wouldn't part with mine. It's even a big improvement over the G6 USB. (You can also use studio phones (up to 600 OHMs I think) with the G8, but I have to say that even relatively cheap 30-50 OHM phones sound absolutely great--far better than through most internal motherboard sound!) Considering the difference in these products I am surprised that Creative is still making the PCIe internal card versions. https://www.headphoneer.com/cr...ve-sound-blaster-g8-review/
    • I missed this when you first posted it, but those are awesome icons! I would normally prefer things to be uniform, but each of those icons seems to fit perfectly for the game! If I may ask though, what was your thought process on which icons are circular - MK makes sense - and which ones should be rectangular or square?
    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact. Also, the clipping tool comes in handy, as well (hit print scrn on the keyboard and it activates immediately.)
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
