James Bond movie director creates Lenovo Windows 8 video

While Microsoft has already released TV ads for both Windows 8 and their Surface tablet, Lenovo wants to promote their Windows 8 and Windows RT products in their own way. The PC maker has been releasing a number of videos promoting their upcoming PC hybrid and tablet products on their YouTube channel.

The most interesting, and the longest, video is called The Pursuit, a 3:38 clip that showcases the notebook-tablet hybrid IdeaPad Yoga from Lenovo in a mini-spy movie with some impressive stunts and production value. The film was directed by Martin Campbell, who arguably directed two of the best James Bond movies; Goldeneye and Casino Royale. There's also a 31 second cut down version of The Pursuit that's likely made for running on TV.

While not quite as impressive as The Pursuit, Lenovo has also uploaded another story-driven video to promote the Windows 8 based IdeaPad Lynx, its upcoming tablet that has an optional keyboard.

Finally, yet another narrative video has been released showcasing the Lenovo ThinkPad Twist notebook-tablet hybrid. All three videos seem to be linked in terms of the story they want to tell, but the IdeaPad Yoga video is by far the clip that has the most impact.
