zhangm Supervisor Posted May 31, 2005 Supervisor Share Posted May 31, 2005 Try deleting the bookmark, flushing the cache, and rebookmarking the site. Doubt it will fix the problem, but its worth a shot. Only info I have is that the favicon data is stored inside the bookmark file (bookmarks.html), and for some reason, Yahoo! hosted sites don't play nice with this method used by Firefox. Personally, I think this fudge is more atrocious...
Seth
Mark, install Favicon Picker, edit the bookmark, erase icon. It will pick Neowin's icon back up on next load.
markwolfe Veteran Posted May 31, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted May 31, 2005 (edited) Thanks, guys. I went into the ~.mozilla/firefox/xxxxx.default/bookmarks.html file and removed the "ICON=" references for the Yahoo sites. That seemed to do the trick. (I hate adding extensions, my firefox is un-extended) Edit: :pinch: Why didn't anyone tell me that May 30th wasn't the last day of May? I guess June comes early to *nixers this year. Edited May 31, 2005 by markjensen

I played keyboard, because guitar took too much talent. ;) Then I got married and had kids. Now I bring them to their many assorted events. :)
