Hi Everyone, Earlier today Technet China has placed a link to Windows 7 Beta but it's not active yet, It was said that Microsoft will release the Beta sometime around 5th Jan US time, which it's only 4-5am in the morning. http://technet.microsoft.com/zh-cn/evalcenter/default.aspxKeep an eye on this page as it might be one of the first pages to make the link go live. I know it's in Chinese but easy to navigate! Just convert the page using Google translator http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...zh-CN&tl=enSo lets all keep a close eye on this baby  The 5th of Jan is looking promising. Or will it be 7th? LOOKS LIKE 13th of JAN, CES 2009...we will all see the Beta release....You never know

i'm pretty sure the version MS release will not be build 7000.

I'm sure a build can just have an updated applied to it and I doubt they would make a whole new build just to apply a couple of updates (or even just the one 'MP3 issue' update). Saying that, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a new build number I'm just speculating here. We'll have to wait and see what happens when it is officially announced

They did reserve a few build #'s between 7000 and 7004? Which starts the RC builds that they're working on. So we could very well see something like 7001 or 7002 maybe.
Only time will tell.
