I'm on the fence with buying this one. When can we expect a $10 price drop?

You didn't get it when it was on the sale? Blizzard games take forever to drop in price.

Must have missed it :(. I have Wings of Liberty. I need to keep my eye's open for the next sale. I've got a ton of games that I'm still working through so I can be patient on this one, I think. Wish I could add it to my Steam Wish List so I get an email alert when it goes on sale. lol.

If I wait for the Protoss campaign to come out (in about 2 years), I suspect it will be about $15 - $20 for this campaign.

Sale? What sale? I can't afford to pay ?25 for a game these days, especially because I only enjoy it online, but I'm tired of having my ass kicked my South koreans, Not sure it's worth it just to have my ass handed to me 9 times out of 10.

If it was ?15 I'd buy it.

You have no interest at all in Skirmish or Campaign?

To be honest, I'm more comfortable in both than straight online mode - and that goes all the way back to the original Starcraft (Anthology, if you want to be picky).  It's even more telling given that it was LAN play in Anthology that hooked me - not Campaign or Skirmish.

And, just like everything else I've thrown at my upgrade to the Dead Hardware Express, Starcraft II (both WoL and HoTS) are at desktop resolutions (and in both cases, fully firewalled in terms of graphics settings in-game).

Specifications of the Dead Hardware Express:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (dead four years)

Motherboard: ASUS P5G41-M LX2/GB (dead three years)

RAM: 4GB DDR2-800 (9-9-9-24 CL9) (2GB x2) (dead two years)

GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti (nVidia refurbished) (dead three years as of September 2013)

HDD: WD10EADS 1TB unformatted (931GB formatted) SATA 3.0g (dead two years)

OS: Windows 8.1 Preview (Pro with Media Center) (primary)

       Windows Server 2012R2 Preview (secondary)

       OS X 10.8.4 (tertiary)

       OS X 10.9 DP2 (quaternary)

Absolute proof that dead does NOT mean irrelevant when it comes to hardware.

You mean Domination? Rule of thumb, start all missions by looking for nearby expansions, and take them asap. Zerg is worthless on one base. Once you saturate these bases with drones and constantly pour all your money on reinforcements, you should have well enough units to beat any mission fairly easily even on Brutal. Case in point, there's a small expansion to the right of your starting location in this one.

I don't remember that one presenting much of a challenge; IIRC you should ignore the command centers until you have a large army and can easily deal with whatever Zagara throws at you. Zerglings are incredibly mobile so stay on the move constantly, you can basically be everywhere at once with zerg and that's the main strength of the race.

As I said before, I'm paying for not being familiar with Zerg or Domination as a style of play - I'm more into Protoss and I tend to turtle in the early game, which is something that Protoss, and their high cost unit structure, actually encourages.

Playing as Zerg actively discourages a turtle strategem.

Yeah, definitely - although late game zerg has some good turtle capacities. Swarm hosts + spines + broods is common in late game ZvP and a very defensive style of zerg.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought this on Amazon for $30.  Wanted to just get the digital download but Blizzard was still charging $40 for that.  Should get it in today.  Can't wait to start the new campaign.
