recently having issues using gom player causing bsod 2 or 3 times during the movie . never had any bsod , only while watching movies using gom . cant find any possible solution to fix it , maybe someone had that issue and managed to resolve it

also , restarting after bsod causes loss of usb controller drivers , and i have to reinstall them again everytime , its really annoying

using hp probook 4710s with windows 7 ultimate x64

cheers

vlc player wouldent do the job then? the only reason i see people useing this "gom player" is to play dodgy encded movies that will
only play with that player.

id recomend you uninstall it and restore to a previous point, you have made a restore point right?

The Gom player is more or less a requirement for players/fans of StarCraft 2 if they wish to watch the GSL/GSTL live. Supposedly VLC can do it with a little trickery but it's a major hassle.

google a piece of software called "whocrashed" and run that, it should tell you what is causing the problem. It might be related to GOM, but not caused by it.

i`ll check that, thx . well , as i said before , never had any bsod , only while using gom player , so it has to be something with it

now i installed some older graphic drivers , to see if bsod keeps coming again

what codec pack do you have installed? it may be conflicting. K-Lite has been very bad lately. I recommend CCCP instead.

Yeah if your moving away I'd recommend CCCP and media player classic home cinema (BE MOD) makes it look a lot nicer :)

Have you tried Potplayer? I think you can run the SC2 streams from that, if you want, and is a pretty nice looking player as well =]

i deleted k-lite today after i installed older graphic drivers , and since then i watched two movies , and had no issues , no bsod . so it might be graphic drivers or klite

@remixedat , PalletTown - right now installed CCCP , i`ll se if there will be any more issues

@furyshinobi - its not about SC2 streams , altough i watch them from time to time . the thing is , gom is the only player playing all kind of videos , with different encoding , while with others i had playback issues with some files , and some of them wont read subtitles

thx for your suggestions everyone :)
