Microsoft confirmed today that with Windows 8 the logo will change to this:



What are your thoughts about it?

It's not "WIndows" - at all. But It's nice. It's on the lines of the nike Swoosh or something, simple, elegant.

No, not at all. I like Segoe UI font and its WP variation. But that cross thing there reminds me more of the flag of Finland (or Denmark... Sweden or Norway). I was comfortable enough with the usual flag with removed shading, glow and crap, on a dark background, as seen in the Developer Preview. I had hoped it will stay there.

Looks sleek and trendy, very simple and eye catching, I like it. I suspect a lot of people don't like it because it's just very very different.

Or Scotland, is what I thought of.

I just don't like the slant of the window, it looks weird the more I look at it. Straighten out the window, maybe even take advantage of some o'that fancy rendering and make some shiny lines on it, and it would be good.
