A Romanian woman was kicked out from a Wizz Air flight on Tuesday after she wanted to sit in front of the plane because she suffers from thrombophlebitis, a condition that favours blood clotting, Libertatea newspaper informs today (Weds).

58 year-old Iuliana Dinescu, a business woman who lives in Italy wanted to seat in front of the plane in order to stretch her legs. Despite the fact that she showed to the plane crew the medical papers proving that she suffered surgery at the legs for blood clotting, the passenger was invited to leave the plane without any attempt from the crew and captain to find her another seat or solve the problem in a friendly way.

The crew claims the woman booked another seat in the plane and called the Police.

"For my health condition I need to stretch my legs. I asked only for my rights to be respected as there is an international flight regulation saying that people with my condition are allowed to seat on the front row of the plane. They called the police and they took me out of the plane", the passanger said.

The woamn was double unlucky as she lost an Alitalia flight to Rome because her luggage was stuck in the Wizz Air flight.

Wizz Air manager Daniel De Carvallho claims the passenger was aggressive and that the passengers have to inform the company ahead of the flight about their special needs.

It seems like they would at least tried to help the lady. Accusing her of being aggressive seems like a cop out to me, if I needed special accommodations, I would think to notify the airline before the flight, but perhaps she did not think about it.

Doesnt seem like a smart thing to wait until the last minute to discuss medical needs. If this was a requirement for her then she should have made arrangements at the time she booked her flight or at least at the boarding gate prior to getting on the plane. poor managerment on her part.
