win8 Windows 8 RTM Question

I was wondering if I was to download Windows 8 RTM when it leaks from connect or any other MS source. Will I be able to do a upgrade on my current windows 7 computer and activate it Oct. I dont mine spending the 40$ I just would like to use it sooner than later.

Im sure you can by pass entering a product key with some methods out there.

Why do those screenshots still have a desktop watermark on them if they're RTM?

it's because it hasn't been activated with a key. notice the lockscreen settings window screenshot, it says in red text that you can't personalize it till you activate

The leaked build that is out there now is Enterprise version N. It cannot be activated whatsoever; you will always get a DNS error message when trying to connect to the activation server. And there's no way to enter another key. So, you can't really do any customization to it.

Actually you can enter another key if you open an Administrative Command Prompt and type 'slmgr -upk' and then go to activate Windows, it'll ask for a key.

Not a clue. :p I am fairly certain if you had a legit key for that particular version of Windows it would work. I just knew how to remove the current product key.
