I was browsing the web and found an article to enable God Mode in Windows 8 RTM

Create a new folder on the desktop, rename it to

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

and thats it :)

People are still calling this God Mode? I miss when back in Vista people just used to call it the Advanced Control Panel or the All Tasks folder.

Is there functionality available here that can't be gained from just typing in the start menu?

Nope, it's just a big list of everything. Nothing exclusive within it.

If you change the word "Godmode" to anything else, it still works - and uses the name you gave it. So "Advanced_Settings" might be more to your taste. :p

Or "big long lists of settings that are easier to get to by just typing on the start menu/screen" you know for the literal version... a bit long perhaps.. maybe shorten it to "BLLOSTAETGTBJTOTSMS"

:p

I remember an article about this for Windows 7 that was posted here.

It's the same one that existed in Windows 7. As a matter of fact, I'm still using the one I created on a different partition when I was using 7. Nothing new to see here folks.

Old News. Plus, you,
a. Don't have to make it on your Desktop; make it anywhere
b. You don't have to call it GodMode. That's so cheesy. I've always called it 'SuperPanel' (Okey, maybe that's a little cheesy too)
