There are lots and lots of custom Start buttons including Metro ones on Seven-Forums and Deviantart.

I haven't read all of this thread, but have you looked at:

They have a free version, but $10 to unlock everything. I personally use the free version and it is pretty good.

Not me. I get coffee free at work. For me this is not a value softare. for others it may. I have spend money on software that i find good value.
