Hey sup,

After testing AVG free for a while I deinstalled it and wanted to go back to Windows Defender. But for whatever reason I can't get the Defender service to start.
It says service has been started and then stopped on local computer.
Looked into the folder and can't see any executables. Seems like AVG messed up Defender badly.
I didn't create a restore point before installing AVG and going back to a very old one would result in a loss of a whole bunch of programs. That's a no go :D

Any idea how Defender can be fixed in Win 8 ????

Thx
