help Nook not responding

Hi, when my Nook Simple Touch discharged and I put it on charge, and it said that it would turn on when there's enough battery. But it didn't turn on, and isn't responding to the turn on button.

It is still responding to charge, because the screen interface changes whenever you turn on the charger, but going no further. Does anyone else has faced this problem, and how do I correct it? Is there a way to hard reset Nook?

Seems to me like its not charging for some reason, leave it on charge for a few hours and see if it still happens, if it does take it back.

Nah, nothing happened. I kept it on charge the entire night, and the charging light was on. But nothing happened.
