I've created this sticky thread for members to post their hosts that they use for their website. Clearly, we arent really looking here for the free hosts- geocities, lycos etc - rather the ones you pay for. We want to know about your good and bad expierences, how reliable they have been, how flexable on bandwidth, and overall feature wise. Do it in this format :

So - i'll start of for my website Zeebit :)

Notable Features : PHP /Mysql, lots of free cgi scripts, PuTTY access, Password protect directories, FTP access

Pros: Excellent tech support- like 5 min replies - and useful ones at that, gives basic stats, Always fast and i've never had the website down - good VFM in general.

Problems: Only 1 FTP account on my setup, No PHPMyAdmin for DB stuff, Have a few probs everynow and again accessing the control panel - which is fairly limited if i'm honest- i'd prefer Cpanel - but for the price- its ok.

Overall: Mainly good- but a few downsides.

Notable Features : An awesomely modified user control panel based off ensim it's beautiful.

Pros: Nice pricing plans...custom packages available...quick friendly support and more.

Problems: None. (Seriously)

Overall: A nice simple web hosting company that will never go wrong.

I was just wondering, by the way, my other account was deleted! this is bink, anyway..

I had to delete it because i didnt remember my password and the email i used to register it was changed, WHY!

Well, I'm trying to make some money with premium hosting.. it's pretty proffesional, I guess.. But the prices are good, and the speed is amazing. I don't really want to post the link in here so you guys are going to have to pop open internet explorer if you want to see it.. i'm sorry NEOWIN! love jo0.. lol, heres the addy.

Notable Features : Large variety of plans for different peoples requirements.

Pros: Near on 24 hour MSNM support along with a active forum and other forms of live communication (aol messenger)

Problems: None

Overall: Very good host with plans getting better and better, i got an extra 500mb space and 11gb bandwidth (free)a couple of months ago :D

Notable Features : Very interesting rates and its often cheaper to get a custom plan from them instead of there pre-made plans they have on there website.

Pros: Great Support, No Downtime or bearly any, Great customer service, and awesome speeds

Problems: No phone support

Pros:

Great rates (about $10/month), great support

Cons:

I have not had a problem with my hosting. In the past two years, I have only had two downtimes.

Overall:

Definately a 10 out of 10

Notable Features : Flexible plans, extensive control panel, fast and friendly support, quirky newsletters, rewarding referral program, PHP, PERL, mySQL, multiple domains and subdomains, webmail (along with POP3 and IMAP access), FTP/shell/telnet/Samba (Windows file sharing) access, and a plethora of extras.

Pros: One of the biggest reasons I've stayed with DreamHost is their inclination to randomly "upgrade" their plans to include more storage space, bandwidth, or anything thing else they find worthy. Their support system has been a pleasure to use (with a user-involved knowledge base) and I've always received fast and personal responses to any questions I've had.

Problems: The only real problems I've experienced during my two years hosting with DreamHost have been related to system upgrades or incidents that have affected the hosting community as a whole. I've never had a serious problem that went unresolved for more than an hour, if even that long. One con that some may have a problem with is that some changes take from 15 to 60 minutes to take affect due to how their system is setup (a pro to this is that it reduces server load).

Overall: I'd give DreamHost an 8/10 simply because there are a few areas I wish they would "improve" in, which mainly just involves their choice of software in some areas. Other than that I really can't say anything more than, I've been happy with them for two years and I've gotten some great discounts on hosting just by referrals.

Notable features:

Perl/CGI, PHP, MySQL, unlimited POP3 email accounts, unlimited MySQL db's, unlimited and free subdomains and lots of free goodies.

Pros:

Great rates (about $2/month to $8/month), superb support.

Cons:

I have not had a problem with my hosting.

Overall:

Definately a 10 out of 10

Pros: The BEST support in the business. Rare downtime. Speedy servers. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Problems: None, although there are cheaper hosts, you pay for quality and service here.

Overall: Highly-recommended.

Noteable Features: Mac OS X Hosting on Xrack Servers, freaking awsome, mySQL, SSL, PHP, Webmail, iChat Support, FTP, POP3 and IMAP e-mail, Moveable Type installed

Pro: Mac OS X hosting done right! Great service! No downtime, very reliable and secure. Good prices

Problems: none

Cons: Price may be a lil much for smaller sites.

Notable Features : Cheapest web hosting I've ever seen in my life. Their

"bargain blowout plan" gives you 850MB of space, 35GB of bandwith, PHP, CGI, Unlimited webmail, POP3 mail, FTP, subdomains, autoresponders, and MySQL. 99.9% Uptime. All for $45/year, which works out to $3.75 a month

Pros: LOADS of features for VERY cheap. 850MB for under 10 bucks is unheard of with this many features. Tech support is also very good - almost always available (Not 24/7 support however). Support is toll-free phone, as well as available as E-mail support, Online Chat, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and AiM.

Problems: I tried changing my control panel login name and PHP files stopped working on my website. Customer service was helpful though, and although they couldn't figure out what the problem is, they gladly offered to change my user name back with no hassle. Also not the fastest web server on the planet.

Overall: VERY big bang for your buck. Great for the budding web designer who could use a little extra space to experiment with new web ideas.

Notable Features: php, cgi, mysql, webmail, etc

Pros: Fast server and really good support. They even give support through IM which is much bettter than my previous host (haihost) who gave me virtually none.

Problems: None yet. <Knock-on-wood>

Overall: I like it a lot so far. Good price and great support.

Pros: add as many DSNs as you want to MS SQL 2k database, has other DB's avail (mySQL, etc) *Great* tech support, insanely fast response times

Problems: none!

Overall: great host, 99.9 uptime, (proven records for 6 years i think)
