scaramonga
Lunatic! I'd raise the min driving age to 25. Yobs have no place behind the wheels of anything before that, and that goes for drinking too.

TruBD
yea he was active at m5board.com the owner of the car was his father. his last post on the forum was several hours before the accident. he went on about how he was a very responsible driver and could handle a 500+ hp car. Yeah.....but for the generalizations that are correct, lives are lost. Irresponsible mindless youth behind the wheel of something they cant handle and who don't give a damn about who they kill in the process.

Tragedies happen and we should educate young drivers more but not pad all the walls around them and prevent responsible drivers from enjoying what might be a way to there job. goji
Had a friend who did the same thing in a Mitsubishi GT something several years ago. By a miracle he made it out alive in one piece.
Raa
There are plenty of 20 year olds who are responsible at driving. Unfortunately there are many many more that AREN'T. And as the saying goes "those that ruin it for one, ruin it for all". Tbh, they DO need to raise the driving limit. Fortunately in NSW you cannot drive a car >200bhp if you don't have a full unrestricted license, and thank the maker they did that too, what a smart decision. This would've saved those people's lives too.
curme
It sounds surreal: According to local news sources, the car skidded at the end of the runway, went airborne off the 85-foot high ramp and flew 200ft through the air. It came to rest against a tree, broke in half and burst into flames, killing all five occupants instantly.MSN Broke in half and then burst into flames! Olemus
bet that kids dads ****ed :p no but seriously im only 18 and would consider myself to be a responsible driver, i dont speed, i dont allow stupid things to distract me and i rarely let more than 2 passengers in at a time. Its unfair to stereotype young people as bad drivers, i agree alot of them are idiots and like to show off but for the few of us that dont have a drink on me ;)
MightyJordan
Lunatic!I'd raise the min driving age to 25. Yobs have no place behind the wheels of anything before that, and that goes for drinking too. If that happened, then the lunatic drivers would be 25 year olds. The reason new drivers have lots of accidents is because they are new to the driving system. You've just gotta give them time. They mature eventually. Sadly, the boy racer will never die. If there were more racetracks situated across the country, I bet you'd have less accidents on the road, because the boy racers will thrash their car out on the track, where they can do whatever they want. I have no problem with young drivers and expensive performance cars but putting "pedal to the metal" as a 18yr old beginner in such a car is not being responsible to your own life let alone the lives of others. I believe in VIC you cannot drive any car with a turbo (unless its a weak car like a smart that isnt a performance car), have a list of cars not allowed on P's and also have power to weight ratio you cannot exceed untill fully licensed. They are also bringing out a extended 2 stage P license. I'm not sure if any of these measures make for more responsible drivers or just delay the inevitable.
