Portal 2 release date: February 9, 2011

Valve has officially revealed the release date for its highly anticipate puzzle/shooter sequel, Portal 2. Fans will be able to return to Aperture Science and suck sentient turrets through giant tubes on February 9, 2011!

The game was originally slated for release this year, but got pushed back, because Valve loves a good delay. Now the game has a solid release date, so you can stop getting angst in your pants while waiting to heart more news.

Are you excited? I'm excited.

The release date has since been delayed. According to Wikipedia the release dates for Portal 2 are now

• April 18, 2011 for Northern America
  
• April 21, 2011 for Australia
  
• April 22, 2011 for Europe

Awesome, hope it sticks....my friend and I loved the first one enough that we already plan on getting this one for the coop alone (granted we would both likely get it for the single-player even, based on how different it looks in terms of gameplay).

So going by valve time, this game will be released sometime November 2011. Can't wait!

The trailers so far hint at Portal 2 being even more of a mindf*** than Portal 1 - which is a good thing.

Preety cool, but I won't be belivin that release date. Ill believe it when I have it on steam. But Feb isn't too bad to wait considering this year is almost over.

I love the way they are doing liquids, Valve just keep proving they are the masters of game design again and again.

Cannot wait to play this.
