The Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) has announced a new wireless charging standard which would allow manufacturers to bring the capability to bigger devices such as laptops and tablets.
The Wireless Power Consortium has announced that Microsoft has joined its board, which support the Qi technology standard for wireless charging of devices such as Nokia's Lumia smartphones.
