Your finger is your password with Windows XP!

This is a really neat idea, using the enhanced capabilities of Windows XP, tied in with Fast User Switching and fingerprint recognition. And all for $69, it's not terribly expensive.

DigitalPersona will debut their recently announced U.are.U Personal Fingerprint Recognition System for the Windows XP in the Microsoft Pavilion at Fall Comdex (being that DigitalPersonal is the ONLY biometrics company featured in the Microsoft exhibit!).

The U.areU Personal Fingerprint recognition system makes it convenient for users to secure their files and all elements of their personal desktops with a touch of their finger, eliminating the hassle and potential security breach of passwords. The product also significantly enhances the Fast User Switching feature of Windows XP on a shared PC.

Windows XP takes security on a shared PC to a new level by creating individual profiles with personalized settings for everyone using the system. U.are.U Personal makes switching from one user profile to the next faster, more convenient and more secure, eliminating password entry and additional menu navigation.

U.are.U Personal includes a plug-and-play USB finger sensor, security software and fingerscan-enabled applications that replace passwords to websites and encrypt sensitive data. U.are.U Personal is available directly from the company at https://www.digitalpersona.com at an introductory price of $69.00.
