Microsoft Flight Simulator gets World Update VI, upgrades Central European countries

Today, developer Asobo Studio released World Update VI for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The free patch brings noticeable visual improvements to Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. These upgrades include the following major additions:

  • High-resolution scenery
  • New 3D cities
  • Over 100 Points of Interest
  • New airports like Klagenfurt and Stuttgart
  • New Bush Trips
  • New Landing Challenges
  • New Discovery Flights

World Update VI is quite a hefty download so be sure to give it enough time. Find the complete release notes here. Next month, the Top Gun: Maverick expansion was supposed to hit Microsoft Flight Simulator, but it's been pushed back to May 2022 due to Paramount Picture delaying the film. The Top Gun: Maverick content will now launch in May 2022.
