In a recent video stream by YouTuber DrLupo, Intel GPU chief Raja Koduri talked about ARC and the company"s future plans with its discrete GPUs. During this, Koduri shared something really interesting that would certainly pique the interest of gamers.
He stated that Intel"s graphics team is hard at work right now on various next-gen technologies and one of these involves allowing a user to remotely game on some of their friends" PCs. You can find this portion of the interview in the source link below.
Koduri stated:
But what if you could"ve given access to your PC remotely to your friend to go kind of, you know, try Cyberpunk 2077 on it.
[..] I"m kind of, you know, teasing some experiences.
Such technology will be especially relevant now in this time of travel restrictions and social distancing.
However, Raja was also quick to point out that it will be at least a while before we see such technology in action since he was talking about a general roadmap for the next five years or so. He said:
It"s not immediate 2022 thing, but we are working on things like that.
While Intel canceled its in-person CES 2022 program citing health concerns, the event will still be held digitally and we fully expect the company to talk about its upcoming ARC discrete GPUs here.
The first-gen ARC graphics cards codenamed "Alchemist" are scheduled for a Q1 2022 launch and that means Intel could show off its ARC GPUs for the first time at CES. Alleged leaked pictures and graphics card names are already circling in the wild.
