New game engine demos offer glimpse of next gen graphics

The 2013 Game Developers Conference in San Fransisco was held this past week and, as usual, it was the place to show off some interesting demos for what PC games might look like in the future, along with next generation consoles like Sony"s Playstation 4 and the still unannounced next Xbox console from Microsoft.

Not every game demo at GDC 2013 was about making graphics look pretty. NVIDIA showed off how current generation graphics could be used to create a highly destructible environment, with lots of small particles generated with realistic physics.
