Palworld spin-off from Pocketpair is a farming sim, but with guns

Pocketpair has already had immense success with its Palworld project, letting players loose on a world full of critters but with an added violent flair. Many fans still describe the game as Pokemon with guns. Now, the studio is preparing to release its next Palworld project, and this spin-off is targeting the farming sim genre, and it"s not leaving behind the weaponry.

Aptly named Palworld: Palfarm, the title is offering a cozy farming experience filled with the familiar Pals on the surface. This involves moving to an island where Pals "live, work together to till the fields, cook, craft, and build the farm of your dreams."

The unique abilities that each Pal has can be used for farming activities like sowing seeds, watering, and harvesting plants. Island residents and Pals can also become friends by helping them out and offering gifts, much like in games such as Stardew Valley. Multiplayer will be supported too, letting friends join together for cooperative sessions.

However, it"s not all sunshine and rainbows. "On the island, nasty Pals that raid farms and ferocious Pals lurking underground await," explains the developer. "Defeat them to obtain resources to further develop your farm. After all, combat is a form of harvesting in its own way…"

A hidden black market is also mentioned, where players can acquire more dangerous items like guns, suspicious fertilizer, and contraband for trading.

Palworld: Palfarm does not have a release date attached to it yet, and the only confirmed platform is Steam. The title can be added to wishlists right now. Just as a spin-off gets announced, don"t forget that the original Palworld is now preparing for its 1.0 launch too, ending its early access journey. Read all the details on that release here.
