The second Unpacked event of the year is expected to happen on July 9 in Brooklyn, New York. Samsung is anticipated to launch its premium foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7. There are also rumors that the company could unveil an affordable version of its clamshell phone, purportedly called the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is expected to look similar to the Galaxy Z Flip6. It will feature the folder-style cover display, while its sibling, the Galaxy Z Flip7, is set to move to a full-screen cover display. Recently, information suggested that Samsung is planning on offering Galaxy AI features, free for life, on the Galaxy Z Flip7, Z Fold7, and the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE.
While other details about the phone remain under wraps, a retail listing for a device with model number SM-F761B, which points to Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, has appeared, revealing the price of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, unless they are placeholders.
According to the retailer named LamdaTek, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE could cost €865 (roughly $1,000) for the 128GB model and €926 (approximately $1,074) for the 256GB variant in Europe. Notably, this price excludes VAT.
Looking over to the retailer"s U.K. website, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is listed for £738 (roughly $1,004) for the 128GB model, and £790 (roughly $1,075)for the 256GB model, excluding VAT. When the VAT is factored in, the price of the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE goes up to €1130 for the 256GB and €1056 for the 128GB in Europe, and £886 for the 128GB and £948 for the 256GB model in the U.K.
For the U.S. pricing, there is no information available at the moment. However, since the Galaxy Z Flip6 was launched at $1,100 for the base variant, Samsung may want to keep the price of the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE down below $1,000 or even below $900, if they want to position this phone as an affordable flip phone.
