Weekend PC Game Deals: Overwatch free event and the tail end of a summer sale

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

It"s yet another week where we have no new worthwhile bundles to highlight, so let"s have a refresher of some ongoing ones.

If you were planning to purchase the Humble Monthly Bundle, know that this is the last week you have left to do so, with it ending and simultaneously revealing the rest of its contents on August 3. The three early unlock games that are being delivered right now with the $12 bundle include A Hat in Time, Conan Exiles, and The Escapists 2.

Last week"s Humble CI Bundle still has a couple of days left on its counter as well. This bundle has six games being offered in its three tiers, including titles such as Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.

Meanwhile, Fanatical has brought back the Curve Digital pick and mix bundle back for another round, letting you choose what games you want bundled up. The offerings include Serial Cleaner, Manual Samuel, Stealth Bastard and quite a lot more.

Free Events

If you"ve yet to have a go at Blizzard"s hero shooter Overwatch, you can do so right now thanks to the new free weekend that has kicked off on the Battle.net client. Nothing is locked out for free weekenders either, giving you complete access to all heroes, maps, and game modes for the duration. The promotion ends on July 30 at 11:59PM PT.

On the other hand, Steam also has a couple of free weekend games to try out. Up first is Battlezone: Combat Commander, a remaster of the classic first-person shooter and real-time strategy mash-up title Battlezone II. And next, we have Kabounce, a competitive pinball experience involving various abilities that pit eight players against each other.

Big Deals

The summer sale of the Green Man Gaming store that kicked off last week is still chugging along with new flash deals popping up every day. The sale is slated to come to an end in around four days time, so be sure to keep checking out the store"s flash deals if you"re interested in nabbing some games at historic lows.

DRM-free Goodness

Now, with all those DRM-filled games out of the way, let"s have a look at the long line of DRM-free deals that are on offer mostly from the GOG store this weekend.

Do keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals could vary depending on the region.

And that is it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to break the bank adding new games to your ever-growing backlogs. Of course, there is an enormous amount of other deals ready and waiting all over the interwebs if you comb through it hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend.
