Elliot B.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Android 7.0 Google App v6.10.37.21 Google App > Settings > Voice > '"Ok Google" detection' > 'From any screen' This brings up the "Search by voice from any screen" setup wizard. As soon as I tap "Get started", I see a message stating: "Can't use the microphone. Restart your device." Restarting does not help. This also happened in Android 6.x, before I upgraded to Android 7.0. Any ideas? Edited January 22, 2017 by Elliot B.
xendrome
Does a voice recording note app work? Can you record anything with it? Or check permissions with Google Now/Google Service. You might have deny'd it access to the mic.

Google App has all permissions enabled.
Circaflex
If you have cortana installed, try disabling it or removing it and test. Also, try disabling S Voice. Most likely, your problem is related to having another assistant installed. PsYcHoKiLLa 1 Share

The Evil Overlord
Try setting the language to English US (also take another look at settings to make sure it's on 'for any screen' if applicable.) +Raze and Victor Rambo 2 Share
