patseguin Global Moderator Posted November 21, 2019 Global Moderator Share Posted November 21, 2019 I'm stuck on the latest insider build before the one that was released on slow ring yesterday. It's telling me that a driver is preventing me from completing upgrade. I haven't installed anything new and have been an Insider from day 1. Anyone know of a bug? I'm trying to remember if I read something about the latest nVIdia driver causing an upgrade issue.
Steven P. Administrators Posted November 21, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 21, 2019 Do you have anything like Intel Driver & Support assistant or any manufacturer tool like Dell's stupid Support Assistant? This sounds to me like a system driver is pending install or something?

This sounds to me like a system driver is pending install or something? Nope. It's my homebuilt PC. I haven't changed a thing. Only change I really ever make is update my nVidia drivers. That's why I thought maybe they had an issue and issued a hotfix or something. I guess if worse comes to worse, I can just wait for an ISO and clean install. Just a pain... farmeunit
I read something about the removal of a Realtek driver block, but not sure what patch that was in regard to. Maybe it didn't get removed from the Insider Build. It would be nice if they told you which driver.... EDIT: This is what I read, I think. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-removes-windows-10-1909-realtek-driver-update-block/

It might just be a 20H1 related bug. @patseguin You should post your hardware info (motherboard chipset, cpu etc..)

My error doesn't say it's the bluetooth driver, but the rest of the message is the same. I'll try that workaround when I get home, thanks!

I did like in device manager and saw a ! next to my Xbox wireless adapter. I'm wondering if something went wrong with it and is causing this issue. I unplugged it and put it in a different port and the ! went away.
