I have an xbox 360 premium in my lounge on a 42" 720p plasma screen conneted via VGA, I have a nice comfy couch and a good sound system.

In my office I have a pretty good spec gaming rig (AMD x2 4800+ / 2gb corsair 3500LL pro / 2 x 7800gt cards in SLI) on dell 2001fp displays (3 of em but i know i can only game on 1)

I want to buy E S 4 : Oblivion but i cant decide where to play it, I want to buy it just for one system because saved games wont be transferable, plus whats the point in buyign 2 copys of the game.

so my poll is, which format should I buy the game in, is it going to be better to play it sat up at my desk with a KB and mouse, or is it going to be better to kick back on the couch with a wireless pad ?

please vote, comments also welcome.

Though the PC option is tempting with a rig like that, you'll be sitting playing this game a LOT, and your living room setup will be more appealing after a while. Also the 360 version's so called downfalls like the lagging is so overblown, I honestly don't notice the loading in fields etc it's like half a second.

Yeah i can't believe you're asking the question, get the 360 version its not like the experience is any different on either system just with the 360 version you're more comfortable.

There are benefits to both sides , which is why I started the poll, for exampel the PC version runs off the hard drive so laod times are faster, and many think that the mouse is far superior to the gamepad for this kind of game.

but, as you said, you are more comfortable on the console on a big screen.

You seem to have a lot of money, considering what you own... buy both.

I dont have tons of money, I just like technology.

However, i could buy both, although i would concider it a waste of money, and even if i did. but then how do i transfer progress from one to the other ?

thanks for your input people, looks like the 360 wins, I will go get it soon.

Where would you be more comfortable, the couch or the desk? The PC version would probably be superior to the x360 one with your rig, but you could sit on the couch and play it on your nice tv if you got the x360 version.

I have the pc version, but if I had a 360 it would be nice to be able to sit on the couch for a few hours and play it instead of this damn computer chair.

Bllom effects are a baby step to HDR so HDR is the real lighting system and the Xbox 360 does a great job at it wher the Pc dosant have the option yet. now i would say get the xbox 360 it is far more playable then the Pc version as reviews have siad during sutch things liek the forest areas the PC tends to swap info and load and lag while the X360 just runs smooth as can be. X360 looks better in some areas in my eyes

I have it for the PC and it looks 1,000 better compare to the 360's version running HD on a 36" Samsung LCD...

Don't tell me, you're running both? :p

I have it on a 19" Monitor with a reasonably good (3500 AMD64, 1.5GB Ram & 6800GT) PC and a Sammy 26" LCD with a 360. The sammy wins imo.

Out of interest what kind of sound system are you running?

seriously, i would get so uncomfy if i had to play oblivion at my desk, though, i suppose it means i would play it less, which could be a good thing. Its clearly about the couch and big screen though, so you can have those nights where you know you should be going to bed and you can barely keep your eyes open, but you just have to finish up one more quest...i love oblivion
