I have a few games I don't this the weather widget 'touch the sky' is up to speed, I don't think it's a bad feature, I don't really mind whether it's included or not included. If there was a better weather one that would be great. Just tried the BT widget then, don't think it's useful as you can just search for torrents with the address bar.

Widgets were an awful idea. Opera is a browser, not an eye-candy machine. Also, BitTorrent support is pretty lame too IMO. You will never get the same power and control if you have an all-in-one app.

It's purpose is not to be the best client out there. It's purpose is to heglp the non-tech users more easily download torrents AND help legitimize torrents and become more adopted. It does serve a purpose, but not the same one as stand-alone clients.

I can respect that reply

You are right in a way. I mean, average Joe who has been sent to http://torrent.ubuntu.com will not know how to use the torrent.

I use some widgets frequently. Some are very useful (Simplest Clock, TouchTheSky, Goal'06 (during WC), BJustB, TouchTheScreen, Param Google Search), and some are nice (Function2D, Function3D, HTML/Css Editor, Games, etc...). And of course, Stay Secure widget! I like them all. :)

With WirtuaWin I use a virtual multiple desktop, and on the 8th desktop I open my (actually used) widgets simultaneously as "Always on top".

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
