Which version of the file autopatcher.exe do you have?

I never got a error like that, and believe me, i tested it several times in VM machines...

I'll release May's version today or tomorrow (need to upload it to the servers) and then you can test it again. Remember, you have to give Admin privileges to AutoPatcher.

I have just downloaded AutoPatcher_Vista_May2007_v2_Full.exe, run it and copied to cd. When run, the following error occurs...............

What AutoPatcher was trying to do

It appears that the error occured while AutoPatcher was trying to set folder variables through filesystem.

Where: mdlInitialization.Main()

Error Code: 0x153: Component 'COMCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

The following is copy of log file................

Attempting to initialize common controls.

Accessing filesystem...

AutoPatcher 5.6 loaded the filesystem.

Have tried with CD autorun, run as administrator, copied to hard drive and removed the rti file, all with the same result.

It seems to be a 'COMCTL32.OCX' problem...

Try this:

Go to: C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\tools, run 'AutoPatcher Module Editor.exe' and close it - next run autopatcher.

If that doesn't help, copy comdlg32.ocx from the AutoPatcher \bin folder to c:\windows\system32 (overwrite existing file if there is one).

Tried the above with no success.........still results in the same error!!!!!

I had the exact same problem:

Open a Run command and enter"regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx" without the quotes. This will fix the problem.

Ran the above with no success. Changed the run command to match the error report I received.........

"regsvr32 /u c:\windows\system32\comctl32.ocx" Problem now fixed!!
