WMP 10 on 4074?

I saw some screenshots with WMP10 installed on 4074, however when i run the setup file in compatibility mode for WinXP i still get an error.

Is there actually a way to install it...or was it just a fake?? :blush:

Im not to sure, looks like it could of been the build from MCE Beta?

maybe it was the alpha version of WMP10, although why would it work and not the beta version??

That's not the newly released build, but it probably is WMP10.

I installed it fine, here are the steps:

1. Download winrar from: http://www.rarlabs.com and install it

2. Right-click the WMP 10 setup file and click extract to folder

3. Copy all extracted files to c:\program files\windows media player\

4. It will say some dlls are the wrong version, just edit the .dll files with resource hacker and change the line that says what version it is to what the error message says it should be

dude the wmp in the screenshot is the leaked alpha version , so i dont think that you are totally correct

Hmm.... I did what cube said, and it came up with some "updating database" thingy, and then exited. When I tried to open up MP again, it did nothing :wacko: hmmmmmmm :pinch:

in MCE, 4074 & Server 2003 - Not only XP [which I dont have it]
