New Trucks Headed to Iraq

Mmm... I thought I recognised those. Didn't the South African miltary have something very similar during apartheid? Still that big claw thing is one way of dealing with people you don't like. If you see a bunch of protestors causing a scene, all you need to do is scoop them up and then toss them in a dumpster.

I'm sure that will make the American military a lot more popular in that country.

(I know what the article says they are for, but the SA military did use them in the past pretty much exlusively for crowd control. You could toss anything at them and they wouldn't break. I remember watching several riots on TV where they used them).

I wonder how long it will take for it to go on the civilian SUV market. :)

You could always get an International CXT, the largest pickup truck in production.

It looks similar, and is about the same size.

For those that didn't look at the PDF files on the link, here's a picture of the Cougar (the one without the claw) next to a Humvee. I don't think there's a chance in hell that you'll ever see these available for commercial production. Where would you find a parking spot big enough?

    • I think it might be behind the trailer park amusements?
    • Some people don’t like them but plenty more enjoy what they have to offer. Check the value of the company.
    • Not such a great deal, Ultimate, which gives you full 5080 features is $181.99 CAD per month, that's $2183.88 per year, I can buy the 5080 for $1809.99 CAD, then it goes up to $279.99 per month after the first billing cycle. Typical cloud rental, costs more than buying the hardware.
