MonkeyClaw Veteran Posted August 11, 2006 Veteran Share Posted August 11, 2006 Name: MonkeyClaw (Nic Goodman) Picture Name: Sound Sailing Camera: Nikon D50; 18-55mm Description: This was taken last week on Ocracoke Island, NC facing the Pamlico Sound. The subtle sunset and brilliant orange red color of the sail just really complemented the entire scene and I felt that it would make for a great composition. Explanation: This is what I see when I look out the window from my room at a clear sunset... I really like the view :) Name: Keito Name of the picture: Under The Bridge Camera: Nikon F60 with 28-105 Sigma Lens Edits: Played with the contrast a bit. Explanation: The view from a bridge I cross when I'm heading towards a friend's place... I really like the light from the top - which is actually just some blue-tinted plastic/glass :D Yes, I scan my film. 16BASE to be exact... which comes out at slightly more then 6 megapixels, so the quality is really good if you ask me. I've got one more pic, but I find it too much editted for this competition as I played pretty much with the contrast / levels on that pic... still it's the best one I have made IMHO; Click here for the dA
