well I thought about it and I dont see the big deal about the video I saw.. What am I missing?

tbh I wasn't that impressed, it looked slow and clumsy and the screen keeping flipping was very annoying.

In terms of having an app that runs as part of the live tiles however would be great for just displaying data

It ran slow because it was using 4 or maybe 6 live tiles to use it, the data had to go through the live tile service/task and then showup on the tiles as well, there's a small delay there which is why you have the "lag".

It's more a show of how flexible the new Live Tile system in mango is, not that I had any doubts about it's ability from what i've seen but still cool. The only thing left would be the ability to add direct controls of some sort into a live tile. You can flip it around and display info/images on the back but if you could add a control of some sorta that'd be interesting.
