Anyone figure out how the new "open door with fuse box" works in this game? I read "

One of the new hazards are doors locked by broken fuse boxes that require an electric charge to activate. It's difficult to do, but Batman can throw a remote-controlled Batarang at a stream of electricity to charge it up, then fly that into the fuse box to short it and force a door open." but not able to do this for the first "?"

Cant decide if I should wait for a deal later in November and enjoy BF3 or to go ahead and get it! The reviews are insane! I did not play Asylum but apparently that was well done and this is that with free roam and 5x larger. I saw 2 reviews placeit at 40+ hours just becuase of challenges snd extras as well as side quests and they average at 10-14 hours just for main story. Catwomen coming with each copy is awesome to! Is that for good or just right now?

Any of you guys run across the spot where Batman's parents were murdered?

I was just combing the area when I ran across it and a prompt came up.

Turns out it was a taped message, roses and a note stating "it will end where it began" from Strange placed at his parents murder scene. Chalked outline and all.

Quite the touching scene as you're allowed to pay respects.

Damn, this game is pretty much the best 3D video game I have played yet. The 3D is truly phenomenal. Thing is it is not overdone at all. it just truly adds a layer to things. With the detective mode, etc., it is like the game was made for 3D TBH. And that is a good thing, as it does not feel tacked on at all. And no noticeable hit in game-play performance really either. Really is kick ass. (Y)

Anyone get the corrupt data problem? I've had to reinstall all the AC twice now, at least I still have my save.

On PS3 I am assuming right? I have my PS3 on and the game still in the start screen, so yet to actually close it, so can go and try and see.

So if you guys can have either BF3 or Batman AC which one would you pick? Because I can only pick one.

That is a really, really tough call. I have only played an hour of this game so far, maybe not even an hour, and it seems truly amazing. I loved the first game and I can already tell it is just as good and pretty much going to be better. But technically you will eventually beat everything in the game if you so choose, and BF3, well since it is MP, well it is kind of infinite in that regard. The MP will always be there. So again, really tough call, as I think they are both going to be great games.

With that said, I can say part of me is really excited to play this game as it is different. Meaning it is not a First Person Shooter, it has a very distinct personality, and well, it is just kick ass because it is Batman. But from an ultimate re-playability factor, I think BF3 wins purely based on the fact the MP does technically never end. That does not mean you may not eventually get bored of it though.

So yeah, I have not got a single clue.

Well it's not like I'm not going to get Batman AC. As I said before, all these 'hot' games are released soo close to each other. I just don't have the money nor the time. I will own both eventually but it's just which one I want to get first. Somehow I know that after a few months probably, the batman hype should be done, but the BF3 should be continuing on (I theorize). Also, since Batman AC is a SP game, it is more likely to be on used shelves. BF3 however, probably won't be. What do you guys think I should do? BF3?

Then yeah, BF3 makes more sense based on what you said. It is going to have a much, much, much longer lifespan than Batman AC. That is guaranteed. Hell, people are still playing Battlefield 2, never mind Bad Company 2, so definitely BF3 will last much longer.

And this game is going to be a great game whether you play it now, or you play it a year from now. A great game is a great game.

For those of you that have played it so far: I did not enjoy Batman: AA all that much, and it kind of bored me, but that is also due to the fact that I dislike Batman. Err, not dislike, but I'm more of a Marvel fan, and the only Batman I truly enjoyed is the original 1989 Michael Keaton release.

I am getting BF3 on release, and also AC:Revelations as well.

My question is: Not being a big fan of the first game, or of Batman in general, could I still enjoy this game through gameplay and the story, even if it does not interest me. I've been bouncing it back and forth, and for some reason, without even being a fan, I want it, mainly because not many games get a 10/10 rating and are so highly praised. I assume if it is that good that the general consensus is "GRAB IT IF: You enjoy video games. Period," then maybe I should go for it. I can afford most of the games coming out this season, but I cannot afford time hardly at all to do anything with them, as often as I would like, so that is another factor when I know for sure the other two games I am getting.

Any input would be nice.

No, if you didn't like the first one you won't like the second one. The combat is the same type but greatly improved but if that wasn't enough for you in AA it won't be in AC. One of my dislikes are the riddles, I liked in the 1st how they were riddles instead of these stupid puzzles. And the riddles weren't as bad to get all of them as you were in a much smaller space. As for one of the things a lot of reviewers brought up being the villain overload, I feel they are wrong. For the general non-spoiler I have enjoyed each of the 8 I have come across and I know there are more.

Ra's was ****ing amazing, I loved every bit of that entire encounter

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
