Nintendo admits its Wii U highlight reel was spiced up

Recommended Posts

Nintendo is kinda like Apple, doesn't innovate but just go around ripping everyone off and sell last-gen products for a premium price.

Never mind that the Wii was cheaper than the other two, and they introduced next-generation motion controls instead of pouring resources into useless graphics masturbation?

So no, Move and Kinect isn't ripped off from Wii. All the companies were heading that way, it's just that Nintendo released it first.

No. Move and Kinect were respones to the success Nintendo had with motion controls.

Motion controls... which were used for masturbation-like movements to charge your weapon. (No More Heroes)

the n is not cool anymore.... the motion controls were a big fat gimmack. tons of shovelware. not enough real games... i can mabye pick out like 10 ok games out of the hundreds of "games" the n has.

(yes I call them the n instead of nintnedo becuase nintendo used to be cool and make good games and they are not the nintendo I grew up with they are just 'the n' to me now.)

thats not like nintendo? the console was at E3, so no reason not to demo its graphics, unless it was just an empty case :shiftyninja:

Probably because all of those games have not yet been ported to the Wiii U and had their graphics adjusted and optimized?

PSone's controller set the trend for dual analog sticks cuz N64 only had one.

all your other points aside, this one is completely wrong

the PS1 didn't even have analog sticks, they weren't added till the PS2

so get ALL your facts straight before you decide to be a braggart

It didn't have it at release, but it was brought later on in 1997, according to Wikipedia. I had these controllers, one of which came with my Playstation. And no, the PS2 wasn't out yet either (came out in 2000).

Are you sure you even have your facts correct?

The Playstation did not have analog sticks when it was released, but the Dual Analog Controller was later released, and later the DualShock controller was released. The PSone came with a DualShock controller. These were all released before the PS2.

ah yeah, i forgot about the late controller refresh

there weren't really many games that took advantage of the dual analog for the PS1 though if i remember correctly

though i wasn't much of a playstation user back then (was only 6 in 1997) i only had an N64 so i could be mistaken about that

never played a playstation till my cousin got a PS2

Thats the first PSOne controller that was phased out in 1998 in all markets. The Dualshock controller was released in 1997-1998 in all markets and replaced it.

anyway back on topic, I don't blame Nintendo for using footage from other councils

my guess is they know for a fact that those titles will be on the system but development of the games has either not yet begun or is still in the early stages

    • Mixed thoughts. I do think MS realized it need's to re-focus on it's core while trying to get people to ultimate pay for AI. My windows machines is my gaming tower. That being said a windows machine I used as a server was just recently converted to no GUI Linux server (and it runs so much better for it's purpse), and general purpose laptop (non-gaming) that could run Windows 11 is using Linux. My work device is a MacBook Pro, and I have a raspberry PI acting as my DNS server, using linux. I honestly have more non-windows devices then devices. I don't consider myself typical user however.
    • Here is how to watch Apple's WWDC 2026 conference where iOS 27 is expected by Taras Buria It is Monday, June 8, 2026, which means today is the day Apple kicks off its annual Worldwide Developer Conference, WWDC 2026. As usual, today's keynote will be full of consumer and developer-focused announcements, including new versions of Apple's operating systems, developer tools, and more. Apple streams its developer conferences, allowing everyone to tune in and watch the announcements live. Today is no exception, so here is how you can watch it. Apple WWDC 2026 will be available to watch on Apple's official website here. Also, you can stream it on YouTube and the Apple TV app on your Apple device. The stream kicks off at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM GMT+1. Apple's annual developer conference usually focuses on new software experiences, so do not expect major hardware announcements. What is expected is the "27" series of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS. Apple is unlikely to introduce major UI changes, but you can expect subtle tweaks to the Liquid Glass design language, particularly on Mac. One of the biggest changes Apple plans to announce today is a reworked, AI-powered Siri. The assistant will be available as a standalone app with a chatbot-like experience and Google's AI models under the hood. If you want to learn more about what is expected today at WWDC 2026, check out our dedicated article here. However, if you prefer a spoiler-free stream, tune in at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT on Apple's official website, its YouTube channel, or the Apple TV app.
    • For we consumer readers, it would be helpful if you clearly stated in the headline if the article is about consumer or enterprise. Then readers will know if the article applies to them or not. 2 cents.
    • At the moment I have my main PC and a test PC on my work desk. The test PC is also not inverted so I am not looking at the glass panel side, which is irritating.
