what Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 Racing cars are super safe these days, yes. But something really needs to be done about that tyre wall/barrier, or keep photographers away. That cameraman was about a foot away from a serious injury. It's great that cars are designed to disintegrate to absorb some of the energy in a crash but it also means a lot of high velocity bodywork flying all over the place and that isn't good for everyone else.
