XCalvin
My phone won't connect to my home router Okay i will try to explain my problem in detail: I have the Samsung Galaxy 5 / Europa I5500, running stock Froyo 2.2. The problem occurred when using 2.0.9 of MAD Team Custom rom, the wi-fi was working fine, after using it for a while it would randomly refuse to connect (when i pressed connect the selection would disapear or act like i didn't select it). Recently it refuses to connect at all (about three weeks) yet it connects to other wi-fi connections (open or secured). I tried downgrading to stock Froyo and other roms, there was no difference. Can someone help me? (All other wireless devices connect in the house) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1007284-major-wi-fi-problem/ Share on other sites
acnpt
Have you tried resetting the router? Worked for me when I had trouble with a device not connecting. XCalvin
Yep i have tried all the obvious things including that, the only solution i find is buying a new router which im not prepared to do! mduren2445
can you back up the data on your phone and reset the phone? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1007284-major-wi-fi-problem/#findComment-594099872 Share on other sites
XCalvin
can you back up the data on your phone and reset the phone? I couldn't back up the phone but i restored it to factory settings and that didn't make a difference. I don't understand though every other thing that uses wi fi in the house works! mduren2445
only other thing I can think of is to uninstall any apps you added that did not go in the 'factory reset' and if that does not work then take it to your cell phone providor for service. I think that rom you added (mad team) f'ed the wifi Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1007284-major-wi-fi-problem/#findComment-594100088 Share on other sites

XCalvin
Ok i completely restored and wiped everything and downgraded the phone to 2.1. It didn't change a thing! The Wi-Fi thing made no difference. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1007284-major-wi-fi-problem/#findComment-594100202 Share on other sites
