You are losing your Poll so you say everyone that votes for using Vinegar is stupid. I believe you are in the minority, even if this poll was world wide. I say only smart people use vinegar. People that don't just don't. There is no accounting for taste. :shifty:

i LOVE malt vinegar on fries but it takes the right type of fry. i would never consider malt vinegar on fries from such places as Wendy's, BK or McD's. You need a skin-on, fresh-cut fry from a fair or a restaurant like Penn Station. i have to put vinegar on fries like that!

oh, but salt & vinegar chips are freaking amazing :p

i don't care for ketchup, but i do like vinegar and salt, or mayo on them... or even mustard

french fries w/ yellow mustard and pepper = amazing!

Yes for me, but only when they're with fish. With everything else, I usually stick with just salt. When you're having fish and chips, you have to have salt and vinegar! It's just not a proper fish and chips without those two holy condiments! :p

I'm from NJ - and we have our own version of Poutine here (fries with mozzarella & beef gravy - sometime with American cheese instead).

But on the topic of the OP - hell yes for malt vinegar on chips when I'm having them with fish! The Times Square Brewery in NYC does an amazing job with that dish (along with German sandwiches on Bavarian pretzels!).

Just my 2??...

+1 vinegar and pepper on chips is a-mazing

I don't mind only if it's Salt & Vinegar potato chips.

What you call "potato chips" are "crisps" the UK.

What they call "chips", you would call "French Fries".

The French usually want to have nothing to do with what you call "French Fries".

Essentially, if a package a crisps falls off the back of a lorry and you take them up your lift to your flat then you know what country you are in.

I put so much vinegar on my chips that when you breathe in, you start choking. Also the paper bag sometimes breaks :p

Ha ha ha!  This was pretty funny, but so true! It kinda grabs ya by the throat but all part of having a great munch!

Wow another food related poll, I despise vinegar by itself. In Ketchup, dill pickles, marinades, etc it's ok but the majority of stuff that has a high concentration of vinegar or even smells too vinegary I stay away.

Smells like sweaty feet to me, I like french fries (or Chips - UK version) by themselves with salt+pepper

Hell yeah! Salt, vinegar and brown sauce. In fact chip shop sauce in Scotland is made by mixing brown sauce and vinegar.

Better that than mayonnaise like in France or belgium, now THAT is gross!

Yes vinegar first, must be malt. Then sparingly sprinkle on salt!

It'd be best if you had a Fish & Chip Shop, as chippy chips are the best, their vinegar is just different as with the salt, and the fact the chips are lovely

OM NOM NOM

I think the problem elsewhere other than UK is the chips are skinny, vinegar on them is mank, but good old thick chips YES!

Ever try "Miss Vickie's Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar Chips"? Oh my goodness ... they are the epitome of good chips! (Mind, Miss Vickies other flavours are great too. They use a special oil for cooking, and then put them in a unique bag that keeps them somehow, crispier then other brands. Oh, and they are cooked with skin on.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
