I guess it's time to finally get all of the beta cheeves. I wonder if they'll put out another beta update before release.

I think I recall reading that it would run fairly close to release, so yeah I think it's quite possible. Only expect small tweaks though.

Will not do you any good if you do not purchase the game

If those are legit, someone say so =P

Also! I have the absolute minimum GFX card (8600M GT on my MacBook Pro), knowing that will be my main bottleneck, will have 4GB of RAM help make up for the lack of graphics power?

Very legit.

It will run with the option turned down/resolution lowered. More ram never makes up for bottlenecks of any other component :)

I just copped the Collector's Edition off Amazon!

I couldn't care less about the PVP not being there upon release. It will be eventually so no one's missing anything.

I'll be way too busy getting through the story! :D

They have to be one of the few retailers with copies left to pre-order. I know Gamestop isn't taking them anymore.

Also, just turned my computer back on to start the download up again, and it is completely ignoring the folder that has over 2GB already downloaded...and starting a fresh one. Using google returns MANY useless results unrelated to my issue with the Blizzard downloader.

i had this issue it was because i was selecting the download folder it made instead of the root . for example if its on c:/downloads dont select c:\downloads\diablo install folder. just select c:\downloads it should find it and contiune.

On a mac, and since the downloader keeps shutting itself down *ugh* I had been having to select the folder each time I started up the Blizzard Downloader again, and again, and again. So it was finding the proper folder, until I fully shutdown my computer last night (knowing the downloader would again shut itself down anyway for some unknown reason). Now, no 2GB file/folder.. 120mb...

On Windows I had it Shutdown Once. However it did pick up where it left off and all seemed fine. When you try to install though it gives you a message that Diablo3 isn't released yet. I was able to get past that to the EULA Screen, however it gives me errors about invalid install settings.

I have access to Diablo III Beta Techinal (Windows) and Techinal (Mac), and about all of the forums for Diablo III allow to create a thread or reply, But in the summary it doesn't show Diablo 3 (Beta) to download the client, I have purcahsed Diablo III digital pre-released so when it launches May 15th I will be ready to play it, don't know if it his anything to do with available to post topic's on diablo III forums, I just wondering if I am in the Diablo III Beta if it takes time to show the Diablo III Beta (Client) download in the summary, Anyone have any idea's if I am in the Beta or not, Thanks :D

It should show up right away. My Account just shows Diablo III Global. Because I pre-purchased it with the WoW thing.

    • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chip brings on-device AI to Android XR devices by Pradeep Viswanathan Qualcomm has been delivering dedicated SoCs for mixed reality and spatial computing devices for several years. The journey started with the Snapdragon XR1, followed by the Snapdragon XR2 in 2019, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in September 2023, and finally the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in 2024. Today, Qualcomm announced a major upgrade with the new Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, which targets premium mixed reality and spatial computing devices. OEMs can use this SoC to power both all-in-one video-see-through headsets and lightweight, tethered optical-see-through glasses. Qualcomm highlighted that the Snapdragon Reality Elite will power the next wave of Android XR devices coming later this year. These wearables will offer better visuals, improved power efficiency, and deeper on-device AI integration compared to the previous generation. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can deliver up to 48 TOPS of AI performance, allowing large language models and large vision models to run directly on the device for the first time. In addition to enabling new spatial AI experiences, these new AI capabilities will improve head and hand tracking, as well as see-through features. On the performance side, the Snapdragon Reality Elite offers up to 60% higher GPU performance, up to 30% higher CPU performance, and up to 160% higher NPU performance compared to the previous generation. The platform supports visuals of up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second for sharper images and smoother motion. Qualcomm is also claiming significant efficiency improvements. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can offer up to 20% longer battery life under the same workload. More importantly, the chipset can run up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler under load, making headsets more comfortable for users to wear for longer periods. The platform also includes improvements to video see-through, featuring lower latency and better image quality. Qualcomm states that its EVA hardware block helps accelerate demanding computer vision workloads, improving how digital content blends with the real world.
    • Umm... GitHub continues to use AWS. That's the story, that's the headline. There's no "new" news here. GitHub continues to require additional capacity beyond the originally-planned Azure allocations. There's nothing special about this; nothing noteworthy. They're still using AWS' infra until the cutover is complete.

    • Hello, I have used a few TEAM Group SSDs, USB flash drives, and Micro SDXC cards in the past. They all seemed to work fine. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
