I haven't changed the authenticator settings since they implemented the "if you change locale, you have to authenticate again" method. I've only had it ask me a handful of times but, if you are truly paranoid, you can leave it to ask each time.

Oh nice! I might re-enable my authenticator then. I didn't like having to re-enter the code every time I logged in (it was just terribly annoying), but that setting sounds like it will eliminate the annoyance.

I have not had too many issues on my 40 Barbarian in Nightmare so far. About 1/2 way through Act II. The Arcane Teleporter or whatever it's called really kicks my ass esp. when multiple mobs use it. I'm at around 1.3K DPS unbuffed, not sure if that's considered OK or not. Got ~9-10K health. Getting gems out the wazoo, eating my damn inventory up!

Inferno is stupidly insane. Most public games for Inferno they just give up and leave. lol. And yeah.. soo much death. 1-2 shots and you are dead. I even had a skeleton kick me and I die. lol.

Those flying things in Act 4 are so annoying. The ones where you kill them and then the rider hops off and attacks you. The first one of those killed me and annoyed me so much. I had to kite the stupid thing around, I lived with like 10% HP and then the rider hopped off, punched me, and killed me. Arrrrgh.

Just watching that now and one of the team just died :( Ouch, level 60 all gone.

wow, i missed that...who was it? vHorde?

Just killed Belial on Inferno. Worst fight ever, so hard as a Demon Hunter. (first 2 phases that is)

Other news, my damage is upto 50k+ and my attack speed is at 2.3!

Congrats, man!

And that's why I'm not playing hardcore mode until I beat inferno. The higher my level, the more I'd hate to die. I can imagine how frustrated I'd be if I died at level 60 with over 50 hours put into my character.

Anyway, I can't beat act 2 of inferno. I'm close to giving up completely until I can buy better gear. All the good items are overpriced on the auction house and finding anything good in act 1 is like winning the lottery. I have my arcane resistance up to 300 though (along with all my other resistances thanks to 'one with everything' [monk passive skill]). If anyone is even remotely successful in act 2 of inferno with a non-ranged hero, then please message me. I need help! :(

Hey Anaron.

You could always go with what I use (as you've seen) with Life on Hit. Currently sitting at 1850 Life on Hit (2038 with MoH+Boon), and 2.12 attack speed. Of course, you have to give up quite a bit of DPS, and fights are longer, but the survivability is great. Also, I'd recommend getting around 600-700 in resistances.

As for Act 3. I give up, lol. I honestly cannot see how it is even possible for a monk. Even when I stack up to 80% damage reduction through armor, and pretty decent resistance, I get 2 shotted. :(

It's not that bad, just start over again...

So far Inferno is awesome as a Witch Doctor. It's fun to figure out ways of beating the mob packs that kill me repeatedly. I can see how this would get frustrating in a group of people I don't know very well.

I've come to the conclusion that it is funner playing with people you know otherwise the hirelings are all pretty badass. Public games past nightmare difficulty just aren't worth the time IMO.

Hit level 60. Made it through levels 54-60 (Act I through Act III of Hell) without using the AH. I think I'm going to continue to avoid it...even though I'm re-running the same Hell acts in hopes to get better gear, thats what the game is about. But I've decided to change my previous opinion that Blizzard makes it impossible w/o using the AH. It's possible, but just takes more time and more patients. You also have to be willing to rerun previous content several times before progressing to the next content (especially if you are getting your face smashed in).

It also helps to play with someone where you can help each other gear up. Doing it that way, by the time I made it to act 3 on hell difficulty it was all with in-game found gear or with crafted items.

I don't want to suggest that people not use the AH if they want to. The AH circumvents the game IMO.

To some people getting through Inferno difficulty is their goal. For me it is to play the game until I get sick of it and then move on to something else. Not sure if I'll make it through inferno by that time or not. Probably with at least 1 character ;).

Hit level 12. heh. Yea, I'm taking my sweet ass time. :)

The Artisan isn't really allowing me to make anything spectacular. Sucks.

Dont do anything with the Artisans until the next patch. They are significantly reducing the material and gold cost to make stuff and level up.

Update to my previous post, I finished Act 2 Inferno and beat first 2 bosses of Act 3. Act 3 is much easier than 2 IMO.

The Templar is pretty awesome. He isn't doing all that much damage, but he's making a pretty good distraction for the monsters that are trying to eat my Witch Doctor.

So far the only thing I've used the AH for is selling stuff and I bought a level 60 weapon for 120k that more than doubled my damage.

I'm currently stuck on Belial on Inferno as a Wizard :( Managed to get him to Phase 2 every time and Phase 3 once but he one-shotted me when I got distracted by someone on Ventrilo and I haven't managed to get back there since.

I'm using the (Venom) Hydra and Blizzard (Snowbound rune) build with Shock Pulse (Piercing Orb rune) to spam more damage out at those damn snakes.

Not sure if my gear is good enough, I have 21k hp (which I think is a little low but apparently it should be enough), just under 37k damage with an attack speed of 2.24.

Apart from farming/buying better gear, I can't see how to beat this guy. If anyone can help (either with advice, hints or ideas or by coming to co-op and beating his ass back to hell with me), it'd be much appreciated. :pinch:

I think 90% of us in inferno is stuck on him.

I made inferno last night (barb), currently working on clearing to Butcher. Not finding Act1 real difficult, but not looking foward to Act2. I really need to find a GF set, and do some butcher runs to buy some of that Act 3/4 gear.

Yeah I farm a1. You will rack up quick doing it over and over.

    • KillerPDF 1.5.1 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.5.1 changelog: Performance Save Flattened PDF now uses multiple CPU cores. Page rasterization is parallelized (PNG encoding runs across cores; the PDFium render step stays serialized since the library isn't thread-safe), so large documents flatten significantly faster while the UI stays responsive (#68). Fixed PDFs that failed to open with "Unexpected EOF" now open (#72). The failure was PdfSharpCore's Flate inflater (SharpZipLib) rejecting the FlateDecode cross-reference stream on multi-revision PDFs - files that open fine in browsers, Acrobat, and Foxit. KillerPDF now detects this and re-opens the file losslessly through PDFium, preserving selectable text. Thanks to @javajon for the report and a detailed reproduction. Grid view renders every page. It was capped at the first 26 pages, so longer documents stopped loading partway through. Tiles also stream in progressively now instead of blocking until the whole document is rendered. Grid Ctrl+Scroll no longer reloads every page when the zoom is already at its limit and nothing would change. Removed a stray horizontal scrollbar (a thin green line) that could appear across the bottom of grid view. Files on UNC / network shares (including the WSL \\wsl$ filesystem) are copied locally before opening, avoiding partial-read failures on network filesystems. Changed Minimum zoom lowered from 10% to 5%, so grid view can pack more columns (helpful for wide/landscape pages) and single-page view can zoom out further.
