I just d/l the beta and ran it for the first time, I always had(and always will be) a Diablo fan - this one just felt more of the same but with a lot better graphics. Don't get me wrong I will stay play it non-stop until my eyes/fingers bleed but just was expecting more I guess.

I am assuming that folks that are in the beta sold/traded their account to someone so that they could test the bots out prior to the game coming out. These bots were all able to do things that I could not (very fast attacks) as well as all having High level armor/weapons that were magical. they were also all max level. (13)

Yea probably. Magical gear? Probably just farming for it? Or building up money to be able to get better gear. Don't forget the level is as easy as having the bot repeat levels or farm zones for a few hours while you sit back and watch TV.

The RMAH is more than enough incentive for people/companies to develop bots for this game. It was a problem in D2, but hopefully now that the RMAH is an official part of the game, Blizzard will be able to control the situation. Though, I highly doubt it. Bots will always be around in some form or another.

It won't really affect me though. I will only play the game solo or with my brother. And the RMAH is a non-option for me. I consider it a lame cop-out for those who would rather just spend money instead of play the game. So I will never be using it.

The only thing that will affect me is if these bots use the regular AH and inflate the prices. That is going to be lame. Though, I wasn't planning on using the AH much anyways, as item hunting is the main drive for me to play the game.

Apparently, I'm doing something wrong.

I downloaded the setup file and ran it. It popped up a message saying "Updating setup files."

Then it stops. No install, nothing. WTF?

*** UPDATE ****

Grr... got it. I deleted the Battle.net folder under Program Data.

Then, I right-clicked the beta setup file and went to the Compatibility tab.

I checked Windows XP mode, and Run as Administrator.

Then I ran the setup again. Now it's working.

Stopped doing that and now it just times out and it's impossible to connect. Well the Americas just hangs there forever before it disconnects you from battle.net, and europe gives error that connections is interrupted.

Blizzard is still really good at load balancing and giving enough server load for launches I see...
