Question
capr
So I recently installed windows on my new OCZ Agility 3. I wanted to test the read and write speeds in practical situations so I timed how quickly winrar was able to extract a large file from and archive. the results are disappointingly close to what I get when I am performing the same task on my WD green drive.
is there a trick to get SSDs to perform better? is this a limitation of winrar? I saw that less than 25% of my cpu (i5 2500k) was being used during the extraction.
I should add that I have 8gb of 1600 ram and in both tests, all other system components were held constant.
