I am. GTA is usually a fall game -- GTA4 being the exception due to technical issues of the PS3 and being a multiplatform release for the first time.

Yeah, but the next generation console from Microsoft is being released at the end of next year. Do you really think Rockstar wants GTAV compared to next generation titles? Even ignoring the fact it can't compete graphically it would be buried in a blitz of media advertising and would struggle to make a name for itself, especially when it's not pushing the boundaries in graphics or gameplay (otherwise that would have been announced already).

I think it's silly assume they would just keep that pattern.. just because it's GTA.

Ever since it was announced, a Spring 2013 release was a pretty obvious guess, considering they've owned that period for the past 3 years or so.

Grand Theft Auto V is Coming Spring 2013

Today, we're proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Starting next week November 5, 2012, Grand Theft Auto V will become available for pre-order everywhere and fans can expect a host of new information to become available in November.

More info @ Rockstar Newswire

Eff yes. at that poster above, very cheeky there Rockstar!

... wait a second. Again? Delayed launch for the PC port (IF IT EVEN EXISTS)? Oh and I see they're shutting down comments about said topic over at the press release. Willl it kill them to break tradition for once this generation and align the releases?

after gta4 and the dlc this will be the first gta I don't pre-order. lets hope the people at volition helped show them what a fun sandbox should be

It's the 2nd November, where's that damn second trailer!

Little disappointing that there wont be a PC released, or at least no information on it. I guess this will be the last game I buy for my 2005 dead tech 360.

We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon. Its hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay.

I don't think they ever said they'd release one today...

They did say 2nd of November, but their office in NY is without power, so it has delayed the release until future notice (of the trailer, not the game).

But where did they previously state they were releaseing the trailer on the 2nd?

I read the comment about them having trouble in NY with the storm and such.

They were supposed to release a trailer before the pre-order date.

Well apparently the text above from the magazine was pure speculation - https://twitter.com/...579232740753411

15 minutes left till the cover reveal of the GTA V Issue of Game Informer, and 3 to 4 hours for the full 24 page digital release, and November 16th for the 18 page print version.

EDIT:

Could this be who I think it might be . . .

GTAV_poster_11-300x380.jpg

No, the main characters are Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

From what I read of the article missions are branching, an example they give is that one guy is sat with a chopper, one with a sniper rifle across the way and another is rappelling down the building, you have to save someone so you rappel down and just as you break in you get the option to switch to another character so you could switch to the sniper guy to take out all the enemies.

Then as you rescue the guy and trying to escape you are in a chopper chase, you can either fly the chopper and let the AI shoot, you can jump into the guy with sniper rifle or you can jump into the guy with assault rifle and shoot the choppers down.

Another example they give is during a heist, one guy could be cracking the safe while another could be watching hostages while the third could be watching the door for police.

The possibilities for this kind of gameplay sound amazing.

Dynamic missions from Red Dead are being included in the game, where you are driving about you can trigger little missions like stopping for a hitchhiker or someone broken down on the side of the road.

Sold, Sold, Sold, Sold, Sold................. I thought they might try and play it safe and make the same game as GTA4 but in a different setting, but this is a day one purchase for me.

    • Indeed - drives me mad - usually because Refresh is hidden in the full menu.
    • Firefox has had rounded corners for many years. I take it you're not a fan of modern browsers?
    • The problem is in the fundamentals of how businesses are allowed to operate and the change should happen in the basics and certain consumer friendly and moral practices should be enforced by law. This would fix so many things, not just this ages old default browser issue which is a tiny drop in the backut that includes a flood of privacy and other issues.
