I get that with several visual styles, i think its a google bug

no, i think it's the bug in this theme (as well as in the other themes that you experienced the problem), because it's fine in classic, luna, lunaII (see screenshot), plus many other. A few themes that has this problem is probably overlooked or nobody reported it. Well, if you have time Bant, can you see if you can fix this? Thx!

Why ask why?

if nobody asked why....nobody would know why! and that would be a sad, sad thing.

i think the problem is that some themes change the content margins on the toolbar buttons to make them more compact, and less ugly. google could have set the buttons on their toolbar to center vertically... therefore, googles problem! :p you want to use reluna, deal with it :)

*i will look into the problem :p*

I think the bigger question is why in the world would you use the Google Toolbar?

Ehm, because Autofill is convenient.

Because it offers a (free) popup-blocker that works like a charm.

Because using the search function without going back to google first is very handy.

Because it is one few IE add-ons that actually make sense.

Because...... well I like it dammit.

And to be a bit on topic again. It is not a bug in the VS. It happens with ALL vs's once in a while. It is a bug in the Google toolbar. 99% of the time I don't have this problem (also not with Reluna), bug just sometimes it screws up (no matter what VS you use). Google has to fix this... not Bant.

so, you're saying LunaII is ugly? :D

absolutely not, i just find that sometimes styles have too big of window toolbar buttons ;) and i find those buttons ugly. it was a bit of a generalization, but wtf! im an ######, so its ok.

thanks schmoove for your insight, i dont use the google toolbar so all i was doing was guessing.

Not sure if this is a bug:

In Internet Explorer, if you go to the "Organise Favourites" dialog box (the menu selections are Favourites | Organise Favourites), the text below the mouse cursor disappears when you hover your mouse cursor above a favourite.

I've seen this on other VS (e.g. y/c's Dynamine, but not mafia) so I'm not 100% that it's a bug or a feature.

Regards

mcdill

P.S. I love Reluna!

mcdill...that bugs me too about some theme,s when using internet explorer...anyways the way to fix this is too import theme into stylebuilder and change the values/general/sysmetrics/window to white 255/255/255...all windows will go to default white, but now favorites wont disappear when you hover over them...

bant...the more i go over this theme, the more i come too appreciate your ability...

    • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary in AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update but that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
    • ALL versions or ALL SUPPORTED versions? Neowin does it again.
    • But the reality is it will work for people's needs, and they don't care about the technology that makes it. Clearly not everyone's needs, but that low end space where personal laptops were only used to type emails, watch content and browse websites, but they didn't want to do that on a small screen device. Heck, writing that out I can now see the connection and reason it'll do so well. Apple is about experience. If the experience is bad, they don't release it. Low end Windows laptop manufacturers up until this point have not taken that into consideration ever before, so slow laggy usage with brittle slimey plastic shells were common. I hope that the low end space at least creates better physical products that last a bit longer, and if Microsoft get their act together, they could also have a solid OS on such low end hardware that would actually make the experience work for what the hardware was intended for. The fact that the CPU is a "cellphone", sorry mobile phone processor is irrelevant. It's about the experience, and so far, that sounds quite solid.
