I used The Replacer to switch the Shell32 files. Everything works fine except for the 4 icons in the picture below. I have to mention that before I used the Replacer to switch the shell files, I used E-Icons to switch from the default XP icons to the G.A.N.T. icons. Has anyone ran into any similar problems?

a few problems.

a) after i use repalced to switch the shell32.dll. after i reboot i get this error message

AppName: compaq-rba.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.664 ModName: ntdll.dll

ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217 Offset: 00019ecd

b) i replaced all the .dll's that were in the zip, including mydocs.dll, but still my desktop, my computer, and mynetworkplaces icons won't change.

try using E icons to switch it back to default and try to replace it again.

Since the XP SP1 pack only has shell32 and a few other dlls, would using the .cpl files from the server2003 pack work on XP?

If not, does anyone know where I can get a list of the files I would need to use ResHacker on for the Control Panel?

I don't use Server2003, so I'm not sure about interchanging the cpl files.

But a list of cpl files you should be hacking can be found here: http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/hacklist.html
