YIKES! Twilight Fans Already Lining Up For Monday?s ?Breaking Dawn Part 1? Premiere

Do not diss these fans. Given the sickly state of the North American box office, an event pic like this may be just what the doctor ordered for Hollywood?s lifeless box office. If you?re experiencing deja vu, that?s because this happens every time Summit Entertainment releases one of Stephenie Meyer?s Twilight Saga novels as a film. Here are photos of 300+ 700+ Twi-hards waiting to be assigned their ?camping spot? at LA Live in front of the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. All to glimpse the stars of Breaking Dawn Part 1 walk the Red Carpet at Monday?s premiere. The studio has planned various events to relieve the inevitable boredom of the campers this weekend. Meanwhile the big online ticket-sellers already are doing a brisk business for the film. MovieTickets.com currently has sold out 1,344 performances for the November 18th debut. And the pic already represents 72% of Fandango?s weekly ticket sales. More than 1,000 showtimes are already sold out in advance on Fandango which says theater owners are scrambling to add more screenings to meet the fan demand. According to a Fandango survey, 48% of Breaking Dawn Part 1 ticket-buyers plan to see the pic on opening night.

... wat. Why. What is wrong with those people?

There's nothing wrong with them. We all have something that drives us,

and for them it's a story. I'd much rather see people getting their rocks off

like this than some of the MUCH more destructive past-times I see in the news.

YIKES!

Another pointless bashing fans of something other people don't enjoy!

If you disagree with them that much, just let them walk their way, they don't cross yours... *sigh*

For a moment I read Break Down instead of Breaking Dawn

When I read the word "dawn" my first thought is she:

I know I may not be in the right demographic for these films but I can't see what's so special about them. The plots are pretty dull, not much happens and you're not given much to think about and the acting is extremely wooden. The whole thing seems to be based around sexual tension but it's all a bit tedious.

I certainly can't see why anyone would queue to see it.

So you would be standing in a line for no reason at all? That's even crazier than these fans. At least they're standing in a line for something. :shifty:

He would be standing in like FOR no reason. So it technically is for something...

So what if they are standing in line for Twilight.

We have seen things like this for other movies which have completely no connection with the Twilight franchise. What about when all the die hard fans line up for their shiny new iDevice, PlayStation, Xbox or whatever else might be tech related? Nobody really seems to complain except for the fanboys.

Everyone is entitled to line up for whatever movie they want. I just see this as hate mongering towards the fans and singling them out just because it is the part of a successful franchise.
