Then how come he isn't even going to start game 2 for the sox.

And his era and whip is higher than 4 yankee starters.

He won 17 games because of run support.

Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens, and Mark Prior are all starting game 3 for their teams as well.. are you gonna try and tell me they arent good pitchers either?

in a 5 game series, game 3 is crucial, and more and more teams are catching on.

your talking about wakefield starting game 2 not pettite or wood or zambrano

they are starting wakefield in game 2 because its in oakland, which is a bigger ballpark than fenway, which is more beneficial to knuckleball pitchers, and to go along with game 3 being so crucial, derek lowe has historically pitched very well at fenway.

and his run support was the highest in the majors at 7.26 runs per game

nevertheless, 17-7 means he gave his team a chance to win, which is the most important thing, especially in the playoffs... and in this hitters era, a 4.47 era in the American League isnt really all thet bad

more like his team gave him a chance to win the game

yeah but he still held the leads.. anyways, hes starting game 3 because its a crucial game, whether you are up 2-0, down 0-2, or tied 1-1. its crucial, and they want a pitcher out there that can handle the pressure in front of those screaming red sox fans who have been waiting 85 years for a world series title, starting game 3 is nothing to be ashamed of

He's not starting Game #2 because he's a ground ball pitcher. Wakefield is a fly ball pitcher...the A's park is a huge area making fly ball pitchers more successfull..while Fenway is a ground ball pitchers' park.

Know your baseball d0od.

odd that they made the yankees the noon game.. they are normally prime time, looks like the braves and cubs are top priority this year

braves are going down :p

man, exciting times for cub fans. i just don't wanna see another sweep...

im fine with it going 5 games, let the cubs fans get their hopes up.. as long as we win. ;)

also, ive updated the first post with game 1 pitching matchups

First off I have to say go TWINS. I have tickets to games 3 and 4 and I'm going to be yelling like crazy at the end of game 4 I hope (game 3 would be better but...). In the NL I have to root for the Giants. Sorry to all the apparent cubs fans out there but I don't see them beating the braves. I'll admit that it should be a good series but I think in the end it will be the braves. Anyway, Braves in 5, Giants in 4, Giants in 6, Twins in 4 (I have to), A's in 4, Twins in 6, and Giants in 7.

lots of twins fans all of a sudden.. im pulling for you guys in the first round, but after that i gotta pull for the sox in the ALCS..

here ill do overall predictions

Twins over Yankees in 4

Red Sox over A's in 3

Red Sox over Twins in 6

Braves over Cubs in 4

Giants over Marlins in 5

Braves over Giants in 7

Braves over Red Sox in 5

Is anyone else going to the Braves/Cubs series? ill be there for all the games in atlanta

When are they going to post the starting times for the weekend games? I have tix for Sat and Sun at the Metrodome and I live about 4 hours away, and I have to plan around school possibly if the time suck enough. I want to know now dang it.

for some reason they havent announced them yet... heres the site where they will be though.. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/schedule/ps_03.jsp

    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
