0 pixelpixel
You could use tag&rename or even something like winamp and use the auto tag feature in winamp.

I can't find anything in Winamp that will do what I want in this instance. I'll try Tag&Rename (Y)
0 Darkmiss
yes you can do this very easy on mass with MP3Tag here http://mp3tag.de/en/index.html
0 Elliot B.
yes you can do this very easy on mass with MP3Tag here http://mp3tag.de/en/index.html I have "imported" the directory and selected all the files. Within "Album Artist", it says "< keep >". What syntax do I enter into there to get it to grab the info. from the "Album" tag? EDIT: I tried %album% but that didn't work. 0 Elliot B.
try "%3" without the quote marks. ? It literally put %3 in "Album Artist"
0 houlty
you must have your reasons, but why do you want the album name in album artist? artist name should be in album artist if anything...? also, i've used mp3tag.de to do this easily in the past. It literally put %3 in "Album Artist" i've never used it, but yes i assume so... looking at this screenshot thats what it says
0 Elliot B.
I have solved this. Using Mp3tag, I went to Actions then created a new Group. Then I created a new rule in this group: Type: Format Value Field: ALBUMARTIST Format string: %album%

0 Elliot B.
congrats... but why album name under album artist? http://www.audiogalaxy.com/#/forums/10-Help/threads/48583-sub-stub/ Ridiculous, I know.
0 houlty
ahhh, i had a similar issue when i tried songbird out. ended up doing something similar to you, but put the album artist for compilations as "Compilations". Then there's not a mixtures of artist and album titles. depends how audiogalaxy works though.
