hmm.. used a google search with exactly "difference between home and pro"

http://www.google.com/search?q=Difference+...en+HOME+and+PRO

this was a link on the first page

http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windo...xp_home_pro.asp

adding microsoft to the search string brought up this result..

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/whichxp.asp

and then 3 clicks away from that page..

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/how...y/choosing2.asp

see its not so hard :shifty:

Well to my knowledge, not a whole lot, pro has extra networking stuff I know, but I think thats about it as far as the major differences go.

Pro has remote desktop.. (I found that this is a VERY useful feature)... That makes pro different...

also pro has several users difference

home = all users are admin

so home isnt a good idea if you have children that can screw up c:\windows :)

Wrong. Home supports Admins and Users.

NT has security built in, and this includes user accounts with different levels of permissions. home and pro are each different versions XP, which is officially NT.
